24. Make Your Brand Personality Pop Across Every Channel

Have you ever cringed while looking at your website or social bio and thought, “This doesn’t sound like me”? Maybe it feels stiff, flat, or just…meh.

If you’ve been there, you’re not alone, and you’re not stuck. It’s a common (and fixable!) disconnect between the real you and how your brand shows up online.

In last week’s episode of the Higher Purpose Marketing Strategy podcast, we talked about how to define your brand personality. This week, we’re turning that into action -- how to actually use it across every platform so your business feels unmistakably you, everywhere.

Step 1: Draw the Line

You don’t need to fix everything overnight. But today is the day you draw a line in the sand and say, “From this point forward, my marketing will sound like me.”

Every new blog post, social caption, or email? It gets the new voice. You might even give your audience a heads-up if the shift is dramatic (especially in email), but on social, go ahead and start showing up with your refreshed tone immediately.

If you’re using AI tools, feed them your brand personality answers and prompt them to mirror your tone. But, and this is important, don’t skip the human touch. Take the extra 10 minutes to read, revise, and make sure it still sounds like you. Even the best bots don’t know your quirks like you do.

Step 2: Start Small

The easiest place to begin? Your bios.

Update your Instagram bio, LinkedIn headline, and email signature to reflect your newly defined voice. Ask yourself: “Would I actually say this out loud?” If not, it needs a refresh.

Swap jargon for real words. Add warmth. Sprinkle in humor or human details if that’s part of your brand. Even a tiny tweak here can make a big difference in how you’re perceived.

Step 3: Tackle the Bigger Stuff

Now that you’ve warmed up, it’s time to dig into your website copy.

Start with your About page (because it’s already your story), then move to your homepage, lead magnet pages, and sales pages.

You don’t have to do it all today, but set a plan and go one step at a time. Use your brand personality as a filter for every edit: Does this sound like the same person I am in real life? If not, tweak it until it does.
